This program has been extremely successful in Northeast Tennessee, and law enforcement including the Governors Council on Highway Safety and the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police are in support of this program.  Education for law enforcement includes understanding the signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia and treatment for these symptoms.

Each police officer is given a training sheet as well as a 4″x5″ pocket card showing signs and symptoms of hypo/hyperglycemia and treatment, as shown below:
